Look Up
The Look Up project invite a direct and intimate engagement. Unlike the distant cosmic views of Nebula or the inward drift of Dreamed Landscapes, these works shift the viewer’s gaze vertically—toward the sky above, through the branches of trees, through light breaking across leaves.
Here, perspective plays a key role. Standing beneath a canopy and tilting one’s head upward, the world rearranges: the ground disappears, and sky and branches weave into intricate patterns. Baranski captures this upward gaze with dynamic compositions that radiate energy. Light becomes fractured, shapes stretch toward the edges of the canvas, and the viewer experiences the sensation of being enveloped by nature.
The Look Up series celebrates attention—the simple, profound act of pausing and lifting one’s eyes. It reconnects the cosmic vastness of Nebula and the personal reverie of Dreamed Landscapes with a physical, embodied gesture: looking.
